Irish-style pub in Bellandur offering beer towers, global bar food, grills, vegetarian platters, and a relaxed setting for group dining.  From sunburnt faces to shared plates and beer towers, this was one of those nights where the team stopped feeling like colleagues and started feeling like mates.

There is something about ending a physically exhausting but genuinely fun day with good food, cold beer, and unfiltered conversations that makes everything feel complete. This visit to The Irish House in Bellandur came right after one of those rare workdays when play completely took over. It was our New Zealand division’s sports day in Bangalore, a day where work stepped aside and friendly competition took centre stage.

Around 250 of us showed up early, swapped laptops for sports gear, and spent the day playing cricket, soccer, and badminton. I personally stuck to cricket and badminton. Soccer was tempting, but knowing my long history with basketball injuries and my not so forgiving ankles, I decided not to risk it. Cricket, on the other hand, was entirely new to me. It took a while to understand the flow of the game, but once it clicked, it really clicked. Somehow, I even managed to score a few 6s and 4s. Beginner’s luck, perhaps, but I will happily take it. Badminton felt like familiar territory, although playing outdoors added an extra challenge thanks to the wind.

By late afternoon, tired legs and sunburnt faces made it clear that it was time to wrap things up. Before everyone headed home, I asked my direct team if they were up for a drink. After a surprisingly long discussion, the kind that happens when everyone secretly wants to go but still pretends to be responsible, we agreed on The Irish House at RMZ Ecoworld. It felt right from the start, casual, relaxed, and ideal for winding down.

There were about ten of us, and it was one of those rare chances for me to properly spend time with people I usually only see on screens, given that I work out of New Zealand. That alone already made the night feel special.

Old-School Irish Vibes in the Heart of Bellandur

Walking into The Irish House, the atmosphere immediately set the tone. True to its name, the place embraces an old-school Irish pub aesthetic. Rustic wooden interiors, barrel-inspired décor, warm lighting, and a layout that encourages lingering rather than rushing all come together effortlessly.

They offer both indoor and outdoor seating, and we chose the covered outdoor area. Being seated next to an artificial waterfall added a surprisingly calming backdrop, softening the noise of the pub and making conversations flow more easily. It is the kind of place where you can talk loudly without feeling intrusive, laugh freely, and settle into the night without constantly checking the time.

Beer Towers and a Table That Kept Filling Up

To kick things off, we ordered their buy-one-take-one beer tower, which I would estimate holds around 2.5 to 3 litres. It was perfect for a group our size, cold, easy to share, and exactly what you want after spending an entire day under the sun.

Then came the food, and this is where The Irish House really impressed us.

We started with the Grande Nachos priced at ₹595. A generous platter of crispy tortilla chips layered with melted cheese and topped with salsa, guacamole, and sour cream, it was the kind of dish that disappears almost immediately. Everyone kept saying they were done, then reaching back in for just one more.

The Mediterranean Market platter at ₹795 followed and quickly became a table favourite, especially among the vegetarians. It was a well-balanced spread of hummus, flavoured dips, falafel, olives, pickled vegetables, grilled pita, and beautifully grilled cottage cheese slices. It felt fresh, hearty, and thoughtfully put together, without feeling heavy.

Grills, Skewers, and Repeat Orders

From the grill section, we ordered the Chill Cilantro Fish Skewers priced at ₹595. These were herbaceous, lightly smoky, and paired with a punchy dipping sauce that kept things interesting.

The Shrimp Chilli Garlic, priced at ₹675, arrived sizzling, coated in a bold chilli-garlic glaze and topped with crispy fried onions. It delivered that addictive balance of heat and sweetness that makes you keep going back for more.

Vegetarian options did not feel like an afterthought here. The Skewed Jamaican Cottage Cheese at ₹445 stood out with its jerk-style spices and nicely charred paneer cubes.

The Edamame Hummus, priced at ₹495 and topped with falafel and a drizzle of olive oil, offered a creamy and earthy contrast to the richer dishes on the table.

What really says a lot about the food is this. After tasting one portion, we kept reordering. Some dishes came back twice, others three times. When a table collectively agrees to repeat orders without hesitation, you know the kitchen is doing something right.

Service, Pricing, and the Overall Experience

Service throughout the night was smooth and efficient. Orders came out quickly despite the number of items we requested, and the staff handled everything with ease. By Bengaluru standards, The Irish House does sit slightly on the expensive side. That said, considering the portion sizes, food quality, ambience, and overall experience, the pricing felt justified, especially for group gatherings and team catch-ups like this.

A Proper End to a Perfect Team Day

By the time we wrapped up, it was clear that this was not just dinner and drinks. It felt like a continuation of the bonding that started earlier on the cricket pitch and badminton court. Conversations flowed more easily, stories surfaced, and the distance created by remote work disappeared, even if just for one night.

The Irish House turned out to be exactly what we needed. A place that delivers solid food, a relaxed pub atmosphere, and enough warmth to make everyone feel at ease. After a long, active day, it was the perfect way to wind down, unpretentious, satisfying, and genuinely enjoyable.

If you are looking for a spot in Bellandur that works just as well for post-event celebrations as it does for casual nights out, this one is well worth your time.
