Punjab Da Dhaba, Andhra Chilly, House of Andhra and Se Kulcha

Office Fast Food in Bangalore: Punjab Da Dhaba, Andhra Chilly, House of Andhra & Se Kulcha Review.  Exploring Bangalore office fast food: Punjab Da Dhaba, Andhra Chilly, House of Andhra and Se Kulcha. Affordable, flavour-packed weekday lunch spots.

One thing that genuinely impressed me during my time working in Bangalore was the office food culture. Every building, including ours and the neighboring ones, had a proper fast food area with easily 10+ restaurants inside. Not just a small cafeteria, but full-on food courts offering North Indian, South Indian, grills, shawarma, biryani, desserts, the works.

These weren’t special-occasion meals. These were normal workday lunches. Affordable, fast, efficient, designed for people who need to eat well and get back to meetings.

Ironically, I never actually paid for any of these meals. Payments were mostly via QR codes or cash, and I had neither. I’m so used to digital wallets back home that I was completely unprepared. On top of that, my colleagues kept insisting on paying for my lunches. I gave up arguing after the first few days.

So here are the four usual lunch spots we rotated between:

  • Punjab Da Dhaba
  • Andhra Chilly
  • House of Andhra
  • Se Kulcha

Each one brought something completely different to the table.

Punjab Da Dhaba – Classic Punjabi Comfort

This was the first fast food place I tried. I expected something explosively spicy, an eye-opener kind of meal. Surprisingly, the “hot and spicy” wasn’t that hot or spicy for me. But that didn’t mean it wasn’t good.

Dhaba Da Chicken Combo Meal

This was a proper Punjabi thali-style tray:

It was hearty and filling without being overwhelming.

The chicken curry had that thick, slightly oily, slow-cooked dhaba-style gravy, bold and comforting. The chicken fry added texture and intensity. The dal acted as a palate reset, and the fresh rotis tied everything together.

Punjab Da Dhaba isn’t flashy. It’s reliable. It’s the kind of place you go when you want something warm, filling, and predictable in the best way.

Andhra Chilly – Spice, Structure & Solid Combos

Andhra Chilly felt like a fast, functional Andhra kitchen, no frills, just bold flavours.

Poori with Andhra-Style Potato Curry

Simple, comforting, and satisfying. The pooris were puffed and fresh, paired with a rustic potato curry tempered with mustard seeds and curry leaves. It wasn’t aggressively spicy, but it had depth.

Roti with Andhra Vegetable Curry

More earthy and masala-forward. Chunky vegetables, thick gravy, very homestyle.

Andhra-Style Chicken Biryani Combo

This was the heavy hitter.
Fragrant rice coated in spice, served with:

It felt complete. Balanced. A proper Andhra meal in one tray.

Andhra Chilly delivers flavour and quantity. It’s not refined, it’s efficient and bold. Exactly what you need during a packed workday.

House of Andhra – When the Meat Cravings Hit

After several vegetarian-leaning meals, I started craving meat. That’s when House of Andhra became my go-to.

Grilled Chicken with Kuboos

Deeply marinated, charred on the outside, juicy inside. Served on a banana leaf with soft kuboos and garlic dip. The spice built gradually, addictive without being overwhelming.

And yes, I ordered one whole chicken for myself. Don’t blame me. By this point, I had earned it.

Arabic Shawarma

Wrapped tightly in soft pita, packed with grilled chicken, pickles, and creamy garlic mayo. It leaned toward the Indian interpretation, bold and saucy, but that worked.

The live grill and shawarma station added confidence. You could see everything being cooked fresh. No hiding.

Add a can of Thumbs Up and the meal felt complete.

House of Andhra is unapologetically meat-focused, fast, and satisfying.

Se Kulcha – The One I Regret Not Trying Earlier

This was the last one I tried, and I honestly regretted not going there sooner. It felt like the most refined of all four.

Kulhad Butter Chicken

Served dramatically in a clay kulhad, with rich orange-red gravy and a generous drizzle of cream. Balanced tomato tang, tender chicken, indulgent but not overly sweet.

Chur Chur Kulcha Platter with Chole & Dal Makhani

Two large kulchas, crisp outside and soft inside. Served with earthy chole and creamy, slow-cooked dal makhani.

Breaking the kulcha and scooping both gravies felt indulgent and comforting at the same time.

Desserts: Kheer & Gulab Jamun

Kheer was light and calming. Gulab jamun was warm, syrupy, and indulgent.

Se Kulcha felt slightly more polished than the others, still fast food, but executed with finesse. And yes, I had butter chicken again here.

No regrets.

Final Thoughts: Bangalore Office Fast Food Done Right

What stood out most wasn’t just the food, it was the ecosystem.

Each office building having a food court with 10+ options. Affordable meals. Regional diversity. Speed without sacrificing flavour.

These weren’t destination restaurants. They were everyday work lunches. Yet each one delivered something distinct:

  • Punjab Da Dhaba – Hearty Punjabi reliability
  • Andhra Chilly – Bold Andhra spice and generous combos
  • House of Andhra – Meat-forward, grill-focused satisfaction
  • Se Kulcha – Refined North Indian comfort

For regular office fast food, this setup genuinely impressed me.

And maybe the best part?
Sharing those meals with colleagues who insisted on paying, arguing over spice levels, explaining dishes to me, and turning simple lunches into conversations.

Sometimes the most memorable food experiences aren’t the expensive ones, they’re the everyday ones, eaten between meetings, in a busy Bangalore office food court, discovering regional Indian flavours one tray at a time.

  • Yes, well - you sure did not have to bring sandwiches and a piece of fruit from home :) ! Shall go up 'meal-shopping' again but think I agree with you re the North Indian takeaway followed by the Andhra-style chicken. Fantastic to see the trays all ready to go - no fuss, no bother :) ! Thank you for showing . . .
