F5 Tech Scoop (Nagavara, Bengaluru, India)
Found my favourite ice cream in Bengaluru hiding behind a tech pun, Jamun, guava masala, coconut rose… this one’s a proper refresh. A short review of F5 Tech Scoop in Bengaluru, featuring creative Indian ice cream flavours like jamun, guava masala, and coconut rose.

This is just a quick review, but one that’s absolutely worth writing. While staying at the Hilton in Bengaluru, I was constantly surrounded by the city’s tech-driven energy, office parks, badge lanyards, and startup chatter everywhere. What I didn’t expect was to find that same tech humour reflected in an ice cream stall just a short walk away.
That’s how I stumbled upon F5 Tech Scoop, and the name alone was enough to make me smile. In a city where IT terms are everyday language, “F5” felt spot-on, the universal refresh key, now reimagined as a refreshment stop. Clever, local, and very Bangalore.

Flavours That Go Beyond the Usual
What really pulled me in wasn’t just the branding, but the flavour board. Bengaluru has no shortage of ice cream shops, but this was the first time I’d seen such a confident mix of regional and creative combinations sitting alongside familiar classics.
Here’s the full lineup that caught my eye:
- Guava Masala – Spicy, tangy guava with a street-snack twist
- Belgium Chocolate – Rich, dark, and smooth cocoa
- Fig n Honey – Naturally sweet figs blended with golden honey
- Chikku – Creamy, caramel-like tropical fruit
- Cinnamon and Apple – Warm apple pie vibes with gentle spice
- Kaffir Lime – Zesty, aromatic citrus burst
- Special Jamun – Deep, sweet, and distinctly Indian
- Malai Coconut with Rose Petal – Creamy coconut kissed with floral notes
It’s a menu that feels confident rather than flashy, traditional Indian flavours treated with respect, not novelty.

What I Tried (and Loved)
I narrowed it down to three scoops, and honestly, choosing was the hardest part.
Special Jamun was deep, rich, and instantly nostalgic. It captured that unmistakable jamun sweetness without becoming syrupy or heavy. Smooth, balanced, and surprisingly elegant, this felt like a flavour made for adults who grew up loving the fruit.
Malai Coconut with Rose Petal was softer and more subtle. Creamy coconut formed the base, while the rose added a gentle floral lift rather than overpowering perfume. It tasted calm and refined, like a cool breeze on a warm Bengaluru afternoon.
Guava Masala was the clear standout. Tangy, spicy, refreshing, and playful all at once, it tasted exactly like a roadside guava snack transformed into ice cream. The balance of fruit, spice, and chill worked beautifully, and it’s the kind of flavour you won’t forget in a hurry.
What impressed me most was that none of the scoops felt gimmicky or overly sweet. Each one tasted intentional, thoughtful, and well-balanced.

Texture vs Flavour – Setting Expectations
One thing worth noting is the texture. This isn’t New Zealand–style super-creamy ice cream, nor is it refined like Italian gelato. The scoops here have occasional icy bits, closer in feel to Filipino dirty ice cream (sorbetes) than a churned premium dairy product. It’s not ultra-smooth, and you do notice that on the spoon. But oddly enough, that roughness works in its favour. The flavours are bold, expressive, and memorable, so much so that the texture quickly becomes secondary. This is ice cream driven by taste rather than technique, and that’s exactly what makes it special.
Final Thoughts
F5 Tech Scoop is one of those unexpected travel finds, small, unassuming, and quietly excellent. It doesn’t try to be flashy, but it delivers flavours that are creative, rooted in local tastes, and genuinely enjoyable.
If you’re in Bengaluru, especially around Manyata Tech Park, and want something beyond the usual ice cream suspects, this little F5 “refresh” is absolutely worth the stop. Sometimes, all it takes is pressing refresh, on your palate.

Hmm! Am not really into the sweets arena , keeping away from sugar as much as I can, but I do like the way this is set up and can more than understand you liking what comes in the cone :) ! Love that it is not super-smooth and had guava masala picked out before I read your favourites . . . hope both of you at least tolerable . . .
Same here, not a huge fan of sweets but theres an exemption, ice cream
