Description
Delicious Chinese style fried snake beans with garlic. Blistered and sweet, these long beans are seasoned with soy sauce and garlic for a quick and easy side dish.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 bunch sting beans (sliced into 2-inch segments)
- 6 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1/2 tsp salt
- vegetable oil, for frying
Instructions
- Heat a generous amount of vegetable oil in a wok or large frying pan over medium heat.
- Add the thinly sliced garlic to the hot oil. Stir-fry until the garlic starts to turn golden brown and releases its aroma. Be careful not to burn the garlic as it cooks quickly. Remove garlic from wok then set it aside.
- Bring heat to high then add the sliced long beans to the wok. Stir-fry the beans until their outer skin blisters and they are tender yet slightly crisp. This should take about 5 minutes. Ensure to stir the beans frequently to avoid burning.
- Once the beans are cooked, add soy sauce and salt to taste. Toss everything together until the beans are evenly coated with the seasoning.
- Transfer the stir-fried garlic long beans to a serving dish then serve.
