Cracked Crabs

Serves: 4
  • 1 dozen live medium sized crabs (paddle or blue crabs)
  • 2 litres water
  • 1 tsp celery seeds
  • 2 tsp cayenne
  • 2 pcs bay leaves
  • freshly ground black pepper
  • salt
Butter Sauce
  • 1 cup butter, melted
  • ¼ cup hot sauce
  1. In a large stock pot add water, celery seeds, cayenne, bay leaves, freshly ground black pepper and salt. Bring it to a boil then add crabs, cook for 5 minutes.
  2. Remove crabs from pot then set aside.
  3. Mix together butter sauce ingredients then serve with crabs.
