Ginisang Okra at Dilis

  • 200 g okra, trimmed
  • 50g dried dilis
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 tomatoes, chopped
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ cup water
  • fish sauce
  • freshly ground black pepper
  • oil
  1. In a wok, add oil stir fry dilis until pungent and crispy. Remove from wok then set it aside.
  2. In the same wok add garlic and onions, sauté in low heat until onions are soft.
  3. Add tomatoes then sauté for two minutes.
  4. Add dilis, okra and ½ cup of water, bring heat to high and let it boil while continuously stir frying for 5 minutes.
  5. Season with fish sauce and freshly ground black pepper, lower the heat, cover wok the cook for 5 more minutes.
  6. Turn heat off then serve.
