Copycat Sausage McMuffins

Serves: 6-7
  • 500 g minced pork (30% fat)
  • 500 g sausage meat
  • ¾ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp sage
  • ½ tsp thyme
  • ½ tsp nutmeg
  • ¼ tsp white pepper
  • ¼ tsp cayenne pepper
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • English muffins
  • sunny side up eggs
  • sliced cheddar cheese
  • tomato ketchup
  • oil
  1. Combine all patty ingredients, divide into 8-10 evenly sized pieces. Form into balls then flatten to form your patties.
  2. In a frying pan add oil then cook patties for 4-5 minutes on each side or until cooked.
  3. Remove from pan then set aside.
  4. Heat you muffins preferably with a hotdog bun steamer, otherwise microwave each muffin for 20 seconds together with a damp paper towel. Place cheese on the bottom, then the sunny side up eggs topped with a patty. Serve with freshly cooked hash browns.
