Description

Ingredients

  • 800 g beef rump steak, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 1/3 cup cane vinegar
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 10 g achuete powder
  • 1/2 cup water
  • oil
  • freshly ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Mix achuete powder with water and set aside.
  2. Heat a pan over medium heat and add oil. Sauté onions and garlic until fragrant.
  3. Add beef slices to the pan and brown them.
  4. Season with freshly ground black pepper, soy sauce, and cane vinegar.
  5. Pour in the achuete water mixture and stir well to combine. Simmer for 15 minutes.
  6. Add frozen peas to the pan and let the mixture simmer for 5 more minutes.
  7. Turn off heat then serve.
