This Spicy Salmon Crunch Bowl is a deconstructed delight, reminiscent of my everyone’s favourite sushi roll. A fusion of vibrant flavours and textures, it’s a culinary adventure in every bite.

Picture this: sticky sushi rice adorned with a drizzle of soy sauce and spicy creamy sriracha mayonnaise, complemented by ribboned lightly pickled vegetables, succulent salmon, and creamy avocado. To top it off, a generous sprinkle of toasted sesame seeds adds a delightful crunch.

What sets this bowl apart is its simplicity. No need to hunt down sushi-grade salmon; we’re seasoning and cooking our salmon steaks in under 15 minutes, ensuring they surpass restaurant-quality sushi bowls. But the star of the show? The sauce. A tantalizing blend that ties everything together in perfect harmony.

Originating from modern culinary trends, the Spicy Salmon Crunch Bowl is a testament to fusion cuisine’s creativity. It draws inspiration from various cultural influences, offering a fresh take on traditional flavours.

Now, let’s break it down:

  • Salmon: Lightly seasoned and pan fried with skin on that blend really well with the sriracha mayonnaise, and soy sauce, this salmon boasts a crispy exterior and tender flakiness.
  • Base: Whether it’s sushi rice, brown rice, or quinoa, our bowl’s foundation provides the perfect canvas for an explosion of flavours.
  • Pickled Crunchy Vegetables: Tangy and refreshing, pickled veggies like kimchi, carrots, radish, or cucumbers bring a zingy contrast to the bowl.
  • Sauces: Creamy and flavourful, our spicy mayo or sriracha mayo ties everything together, creating a symphony of tastes.
  • Additional Toppings: From creamy avocado slices to nutty sesame seeds, the possibilities are endless, allowing for a truly customizable experience.

This dish is a celebration of diversity, combining Asian influences with modern healthy trends. With its customizable options and vibrant presentation, it’s no wonder the Spicy Salmon Crunch Bowl has become a beloved favourite.

So, why do I love it? It’s simple: it’s comfort in a bowl. A complete meal that’s as satisfying as it is nutritious, reminding me of the joys of poke bowls and bibimbap. Each bite is a journey, a symphony of flavours that never fails to delight the senses.
