Experience the refreshing fusion of flavours with Subak Naengmyeon—a Korean dish that combines cold noodles with the sweet tang of watermelon.

Noodles and Broth

  • 1/2 watermelon
  • 1/2 cucumber
  • 2 pcs 310 ml bags cold noodle broth
  • 2 servings cold noodles
  • 2 boiled eggs

Seasoning Sauce

  1. Combine refreshing watermelon chunks with chilled noodle broth in a blender, pulsing until a smooth.
  2. Strain the mixture through a strainer and let it cool in the refrigerator. For a clearer and softer broth, you can freeze it after straining.
  3. Prepare the seasoning sauce by combining sugar, gochugaru, cider, vinegar, soy sauce, minced garlic, and sesame seeds in a bowl.
  4. Slice the cucumber and cut the boiled eggs into halves.
  5. Boil the cold noodles in boiling water according to package instructions. Once cooked, drain, and rinse them under cold water.
  6. In serving bowls, place the cooked cold noodles, sliced cucumber, and boiled eggs.
  7. Pour the chilled watermelon broth over the noodles and vegetables.
  8. Drizzle the seasoning sauce over the noodles and garnish with sesame seeds.
  9. Serve chilled.
