Crispy cauliflower delight, battered to perfection. Ideal for gatherings or a flavourful snack. Double the batch for crunchy goodness.


Units Scale
  • 1 head cauliflower, cut into florets
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
  • 4 tbsp cornstarch
  • salt
  • freshly ground black pepper
  • 3 cups milk
  • oil, for deep frying


  1. In a medium-sized bowl combine flour, cornstarch, salt, pepper, and milk, whisk until combined.
  2. In a wok, add enough oil about for deep frying. Heat the oil to about 180C.
  3. Dip each floret into the batter and remove excess by shaking with a fork.
  4. Add the florets to hot oil. Deep Fry for about 6 minutes or until they are golden brown.
  5. Remove with a slotted spoon and place on a paper towel-lined plate.
  6. Serve with your favourite dipping sauce!
