고 망고 / GoMango (Jung-gu, Seoul, South Korea)

Go Mango (고 망고), the only dessert chain in Korea specialising in Mango products is a paradise for mango lovers. With their brand colour being nothing but a vibrant yellow, this small shop located in DDP Mall is a must-visit.

With minimal face-to-face contact with the staff, all items can be ordered using kiosk machines placed at the front of the store. Since my friends and I were exhausted from the heat outside, we indulged a little and ordered four items from the menu to share among the three of us: Mango Smoothie, Mango Yoghurt, Mango Watermelon XL, and Mango Ice Cream.

The Mango Watermelon XL surprised me with its size, larger than my hand. In my head, mango and watermelon didn’t seem like a good mix, but to my surprise, they complemented each other well. The drink consisted of mango ice cream and cubes on top, a cream-like substance, mango, watermelon, and Nata de Coco at the bottom. The Nata de Coco added a pleasant texture to the drink, giving you something to chew on.

The Mango Yoghurt and Mango Ice Cream tasted exactly as what you would expect. They weren’t overly sweet or watery, as some dessert chains might serve them. They were perfectly cold and refreshing.

The Mango Smoothie was a nice creamy drink, with the milk incorporated in the smoothie not being too overpowering. I must say at this rate we were all starting to get a brain freeze with the number of desserts we’d already eaten but we still managed to finish everything.

Overall, GoMango became one of my favourite dessert chains in Korea. With the majority, if not all, of the items priced at less than 10,000원, GoMango was not only affordable but also the perfect place to satisfy your mango cravings.

Mango ice is a favourite here. Not cheap though! Mango is quite expensive here.

Ahh, just the photos alone look so refreshing! I’d totally be a regular here too if we had a local branch.
