  1. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
  2. Add minced garlic and sauté with the potatoes for two minutes.
  3. Stir in the onion and cook for a few minutes.
  4. Pour in water, soy sauce, and corn syrup. Mix well.
  5. Simmer over medium heat for about 10 minutes until the liquid evaporates.
  6. Keep stirring to prevent burning and add more water if needed.
  7. Once the potatoes are cooked, turn off the heat and drizzle with toasted sesame oil then serve.
