Cezwe Cafe (Wairau Valley, North Shore City, New Zealand)
If you’re looking for a delicious and affordable brunch in Wairau Valley, look no further than Cezwe Cafe. This family-friendly cafe serves up some of the best Turkish and Mediterranean food in Auckland, and it’s sure to leave you wanting more.
I recently visited Cezwe Cafe with my wife and daughter for brunch, and we were all blown away by the food. We started with the Creamy Mushroom (NZ$23.50), which was cooked with sauteed tasty potato, garlic, and parmesan cheese, topped with streaky bacon, sausage, and poached egg. The mushrooms were perfectly cooked, and the parmesan cheese added a nice touch of flavour. The bacon and sausage were also cooked to perfection, and the poached egg was perfectly runny.
My wife tried the Moorish Eggs (NZ$22.50), which were baked with Kofte meatballs, tomato brava sauce, fresh coriander, and parsley. Served with hot Turkish bread, this dish was delicious. The meatballs were juicy and flavourful, and the tomato brava sauce was the perfect balance of sweet and spicy. The fresh coriander and parsley added a nice touch of freshness, and the hot Turkish bread was the perfect way to soak up all the sauce.
My daughter tried the Spanish Tomato Bread (NZ$20.50), which was grilled roses halloumi cheese, streaky bacon, avocado, aioli, olive oil, and fresh lemon. This dish was also delicious. The halloumi cheese was perfectly grilled, and the streaky bacon was crispy. The avocado added a nice creaminess, and the aioli and olive oil added a nice flavour boost. The fresh lemon was the perfect way to brighten up the dish.
To finish off our meal, we shared some baklava. This traditional Turkish dessert is made with layers of phyllo dough filled with a sweet honey syrup and nuts. It was the perfect way to end our meal.
For the drinks we had Turkish Coffee (NZ$5.90), Iced Tea Mango (NZ$6.90) and Mochaccino (NZ$5.50), Turkish coffee is something new to me, I find strong and has a bold flavour that is both bitter and sweet which I love. The coffee beans are ground very finely, which gives the coffee a thick, syrupy consistency. A must try for those who loves strong coffee.
In addition to the delicious food, Cezwe Cafe also has a great atmosphere. The cafe is small and cosy, with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The staff is friendly and attentive, and they were happy to make recommendations. We especially appreciated that they were very welcoming dogs, who they allowed to sit at the table of their human companion, we will bring our dog here next time.
Overall, we had a wonderful experience at Cezwe Cafe. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was great, and the staff was friendly. We would recommend this cafe to anyone looking for a delicious and affordable brunch in Wairau Valley.

Sounds like a wonderful meal! Love halloumi cheese 🙂
I’d go for the creamy mushroom or the meatballs. Both look alluring!
