Pizzeria Santa Lucia (Zurich, Switzerland)
Pizzeria Santa Lucia is a beloved restaurant found in Zurich, Switzerland, known for its delicious Italian-style pizzas. Made with fresh, high-quality ingredients and cooked to perfection in a wood-fired oven, the restaurant offers a wide variety of pizzas on its extensive menu. From classic margherita to gourmet creations with unique toppings, there is something to satisfy everyone’s taste.
In addition to its famous pizzas, Pizzeria Santa Lucia also offers a selection of antipasti, salads, pasta dishes, and desserts. The restaurant’s friendly and knowledgeable staff are always available to recommend dishes and help customers choose the perfect wine to complement their meal.
On our recent visit, we tried their Prosciutto e Funghi (CHF 23.00) and were impressed to find that, despite the passage of 10 years, the price had remained relatively unchanged. The quality of ingredients and the deliciousness of the pizzas were also unchanged, with the same bouncy, thin dough, flavourful tomato sauce, and delicious mozzarella. Our daughter described it as “nice, delectable, spectacular and scrumptious!”
The atmosphere of the restaurant has remained the same as well, with a casual and welcoming ambiance, rustic wood furnishings, and an open kitchen where customers can watch their pizzas being prepared. Whether dining alone or in a group, customers will feel right at home at Pizzeria Santa Lucia.
In conclusion, Pizzeria Santa Lucia is a must-visit destination for anyone in the mood for delicious Italian-style pizza while in Zurich. Its tasty dishes and welcoming atmosphere make it a beloved dining spot among locals and visitors alike.

*biggest smile* It may not make much sense to you but I am quite pleased to read of your visits serving ‘local’ (well, almost!) food and not what the locals surmise is Asian fare! The place seems ‘gemutlich’ . . . I am hppy you were more than pleased! Two things which perchance not thrill me so much – it is a Swiss chain restaurant and personally I am usually happier in single owner-operated places. Secondly – that huge and to me unnecessaily complicated menu – again I prefer just a short list of special dishes done as perfectly as possible . . . . . . were I there – yes, I would love to try . . . thanks!
Thank you for your comment! I’m glad to hear that you enjoyed reading about my visits to local (well, almost!) food places and that you appreciate the authenticity of the food. I understand that you prefer single owner-operated places, but I found this Swiss chain restaurant to be quite charming and welcoming. As for the menu, I can understand why a shorter list of special dishes would be preferable I like them too most of the times, but I also enjoyed the variety of options available once in a while.
That pizza looks like the real deal. Enjoy your trip, Raymund!
Wow. I think I’ll be dreaming about that pizza tonight. It looks absolutely fantastic! If I had to describe a perfect pizza, I think this might be it. Now I just need to take a trip to Zurich…haha! Enjoy your travels!
