Itsu Victoria St (London, United Kingdom)
Itsu is a popular Japanese fast-food restaurant; it is everywhere in London, and we had a change to try one of its branches located on Victoria Street in London just a 2-min walk from Westminster Cathedral. This restaurant is known for its delicious and healthy food options that are made from high-quality ingredients. The menu features a wide variety of dishes, including sushi rolls, salads, soups, and noodle bowls. Think of it like the St Pierre’s Sushi in Auckland, same concept and almost the same style.
One of the things that sets Itsu apart from other fast-food restaurants is its focus on healthy eating. The restaurant prides itself on using only the freshest ingredients, including sustainably sourced fish, vegetables, and rice. The menu is also designed to be low in calories and high in nutrition, making it a great choice for those who are looking to eat healthily while on the go.
In addition to its healthy food options, Itsu is also known for its contemporary and sleek design. The restaurant has a modern and minimalist aesthetic, with clean lines and a neutral colour palette. This makes it a great spot to grab a quick bite to eat or to hang out with friends over a cup of tea. Taking note that the one we visited was quite a small spot not ideal for large groups but for small families it is great.
The restaurant has a wide range of menu options to choose from, with a lot of options like vegetarian and vegan dishes. The sushi selection is particularly impressive, with a variety of rolls featuring ingredients like tuna, salmon, and avocado. The soups and noodle bowls are also very popular and are perfect for a quick and satisfying meal.
During Our visit we grabbed some Chicken Teriyaki and Nagano Valley Miso Soup. The Miso soup is not like the usual stuff, the one they serve at Itsu was loaded with lots of stuff on it like spring onions, tofu and seaweed. Chicken Teriyaki was prepared with wholegrain brown rice, a medley of different greens, vegetables & fresh herbs, teriyaki sauce over chicken, it was served with a good portion and will be enough for one hungry person. Both were both flavourful and quite fulfilling.
We also grabbed some premade Sushi, specifically the ones the call “Health & Happiness“, served with omega-3 rich sashimi grade Atlantic salmon nigiri, large prawn sushi with kewpie & chives, salmon & avocado maki, veggie maki, California rolls and salmon sashimi on magnesium-packed wakame. This one tasted really fresh, clean flavours and well-made sushi rice.
What stands out about Itsu is the pricing for those two orders we grabbed it costed us only £7.89 for the Teriyaki, £2.48 for the miso soup and around £11.00 (if I remember correctly) for the Sushi, not bad, in fact it was affordable in London standards. The restaurant provides a healthy and high-quality meal at a price point that is accessible to a wide range of customers. It is considered as a budget-friendly spot for those who are looking for a healthy and delicious meal without breaking the bank.
All in all, Itsu is a great choice for anyone looking for a healthy and delicious meal on the go. With its wide variety of menu options, modern design, and affordable prices, it is no wonder that the restaurant has become a popular destination for Londoners and tourists alike.

I don’t ‘do’ chain restaurants but must say I am impressed..! Like everyting and the way it is offered but, sorry, hate the very idea of some monstrosity called the ‘California roll’! Methinks such should remain within the country in which they were born . . . the remainder; am putting the address in my book . . .
California roll is OK not bad, not my first choice though as I tend to go for Salmon and Avocado.
Looks like a really nice restaurant though too much rice for me…would always prefer a steak house when I am out :-))
