Its summer here and this is the perfect drink to beat those hot and humid days to come. Mango Passionfruit Smoothie is a refreshing tropical iced smoothie made with mango, passion fruit and lime juice.
I love sweet and tangy fruits like mango, passionfruit, peach, orange, pineapples and green apples to name some, making smoothies out of these fruits is heaven to me specially the icy ones as they not only refresh you, but they also cleanse the palate, so it a perfect way to end a nice meal. Today I am making one of the best combination of fruits on a smoothie, mango and passionfruit in which both are quite expensive here in New Zealand luckily, I have a friend who grows passionfruit on their backyard so I get them for free otherwise it will be somewhere around NZ$35.00 to NZ$40.00 per kilo. Same thing goes with mangoes, although I this one I bought from the supermarket, price is quite low now compared to when it’s out of season, so have to pay NZ$5.00 per piece. Not a regular thing for me to make due to its cost but becuase its getting warm here now, it is a good time to make one just to beat those hot summer days.
Not a smoothie fan..would prefer just fruit if I ate fruit at all..but I really love the aroma of passionfruit.
What a dreamy blend! I sure wish it was summer here, but I’ll happily settle for a taste of it in the meantime.
Being one of the brigade who tends to eat mangoes as they come over the kitchen sink . . . I but rarely make smoothies – but this looks fresh and moreish and thank you for the idea !
It is moreish and refreshing! A total treat to mango lovers
I would love this. Passion fruit seeds remind me of eyeballs!
Looks delicious, Raymund. And a nice way to “detox” after all the holiday excess… 😉
Happy New Year, Raymund! This mango passionfruit smoothie is my kind of drink! Looks so thick and delicious! Perfect way to start off the year 🙂
I really love passion fruit, but, as you will see an upcoming post, they are almost impossible to find here in Arizona. I will keep looking! In the meantime, I can use some frozen pulp to make this.
