Biscocho or biskotso is a Filipino type of snack usually served with coffee made with twice baked bread coated with butter and sugar.



Units Scale
  • 1 pc 8 in x 8 in (22 cm x 22 cm) store bought sponge cake base, cut into 1 inch thick
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1/4 cup white sugar


  1. Slice the sponge cake in 1/2-inch-long sections. Place the slices and arrange them on the baking sheets.
  2. Brush each slice with melted butter then sprinkle sugar on top.
  3. Bake in a 120C oven for 1 hour.
  4. Remove from the oven, let it cool.


You can do this with mamon, pandesal or any soft bread variety.
