Grilled Pear and Halloumi Salad

That squeaky salty cheese works really well when paired with something sweet like a grilled pear. Grilled Pear and Halloumi Salad is a simple salad prepared with grilled pears, grilled halloumi cheese, grilled bacon, candied walnuts and cos lettuce dressed with balsamic vinaigrette.

I love cheese! I bet a lot there would love them too, my favourites are fresh mozzarella, bocconcini, triple cream brie, smoked Dutch cheese, Gouda, Creamy Blue cheese and the one we are using today on our salad, the Halloumi. I know I love a lot more than that list but that is what’s on the top of my head. With that in mind I make a lot of ways just to include those cheeses on my dishes and that’s what our recipe is all about, Grilled Pear and Halloumi Salad. This salad we have for today is a very filling salad, you don’t need sides with it, and with something as delicious as this why would you need it. It’s simple too, all you need is a grill becuase most elements here are grilled to bring out its flavour, halloumi is grilled to bring out its nuttiness and soften the cheese, pear is grilled to bring out its sweetness even more and the bacon is grilled as well just to remove that excess fat not needed on this dish. Each element in this salad compensates with each other, the salty and sweet combo, added with the multitude of textures, this I assure you will be a sure-fire winner on your dining table.
