Little Creatures (Hobsonville Point, Auckland, New Zealand)
I never intended to do this review as I made it before but with the two things we tried this visit, it is well worth to do this again. The last time we were here was after one of our trainings for Spartan, the event did not materialise up to this date due to the pandemic. Today we were here not after a Spartan training but after we did a walk around Hobsonville Point.
We started our walk quite late, just after lunch and after that we headed over here for a light snack since we already had our brunch. We just grabbed some drinks to refresh us and with the heat outside the prefect drink for this occasion was this Karma Lemonade (NZ$6.50)
We also ordered a couple of items, first was this Makikihi Beef Fat Fries (NZ$12.50) served with herb salt and chipotle aioli. We also grabbed some Truffle Mushroom Pizza (NZ$27.00) served with confit garlic, parsley and Whitestone haloumi. It was an OMG moment as these two were probably the best fries and vegetarian pizza we ever had. That fries was totally addictive, it’s so crunchy on the outside and the insides felt like a mashed potato, it’s the perfect combination of textures in a French Fry. If this is not the best fries, I ever had probably it will be second or maximum third on my list.
As for the Pizza, it was amazing too, the earthiness was so delicious, full of umami and that halloumi was just creamy with nice saltiness on it. The dough reminds me of real Italian pizzas, it was thin but chewy and crispy on the edges.
This I think was its redemption as we did not have a good experience the first time we were here. Service was definitely better; we were attended to with utmost care. Food was better, I think we ordered the right thing this time around. Definitely will be happy to order the same thing again in the future.

Pizza looks great!
I love the setting! That chipotle aioli and the truffle pizza are absolutely calling my name, too!
That is some great looking pizza! Mushrooms are always a must for me too.
