Meet Fresh (Auckland CBD, New Zealand)

Just a quick one today since we already reviewed this place on another branch in the North Shore area, while we visit that place a lot since this is one of our favourite Asian cold dessert place this was just our second time in their Auckland CBD branch. Usually we order our favourites hence I don’t post the succeeding visits but today we are trying something new, out of our usual favourites. Usually our go to menu item here are their Mango Snowflake ice or their milk tea, today we are trying two shaved ice flavours we haven’t tried, the Taro Shaved ice with Condensed Milk and Boba Shaved Ice, if I can remember they are both around NZ$17.50. It is quite pricey, but the serving size is quite hefty, it can feed two people.

Like most of their offering these two that we tried are quite refreshing and definitely filling so if you are planning to have this for dessert make sure to spare some space in your belly to have maximum satisfaction. Although they are bot shaved ice, they taste quite different. The Taro Shaved ice with Condensed Milk is not too sweet, served with large chunks of taro and heaps of mini taro balls while Boba Shaved Ice on the other hand is sweet, like a dirty milk tea dessert where it is served with that smoky caramel sauce together with condensed milk and lots of boba. Both desserts are topped with vanilla ice cream.

If you love icy desserts then you definitely need to try these one out, it’s quite satisfying specially on a hot summer day but even during winter like our season at the moment, there is no reason for you not to give it a shot.
