Description

Vegetable Pakora is a type of an Indian snack made with chickpea flour, spices, and a variety of chopped vegetables like onion, green beans, carrots, cauliflower, and cabbages to name some. It is then deep fried till crisp and golden brown.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup chopped cabbage
  • 1 cup chopped cauliflower
  • 6 pcs green beans, chopped
  • 1 carrot, julienned
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 stalks spring onions
  • ½ cup gram flour
  • ¼ cup rice flour
  • 2 tbsp coriander leaves, chopped
  • 1 tsp minced ginger
  • 1 tsp minced garlic
  • ½ tsp garam masala
  • oil, for deep frying
  • salt
  • water

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl combine all ingredients apart from the oil and water, mix it well.
  2. Add water a tablespoon at a time, just enough for the vegetables to stick together. Mix it again to make a stiff dough.
  3. Prepare a deep fryer, heat oil to 180C.
  4. Form vegetable into a small ball then sightly flatten it, place flattened vegetables in the hot oil, do not overcrowd. Cook until golden brown.
  5. Remove from fryer then serve.
