Sopas Misua is a dish prepared by combining two Filipino dishes, the Sopas and Misua. It’s made with misua ingredients like flour vermicelli and vegetables, but the broth is made like a sopas.


  • 60 g misua/flour vermicelli (that’s around 3 bunches)
  • 1/2 cup pork belly, cubed
  • 1 cup cabbage, chopped
  • 100 g sugar snap peas, trimmed
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 large red onion, minced
  • 6 cups chicken broth
  • 200 ml evaporated milk
  • freshly ground black pepper
  • fish sauce
  • cooking oil


  1. In a pot sauté garlic and onion in oil.
  2. Fry pork belly and fry until brown and crispy
  3. Add chicken broth then bring it to a boil and simmer for 5 minutes
  4. Add misua, cabbage, sugar snap peas and evaporated milk then simmer in low heat for 3 minutes
  5. Season with fish sauce and freshly ground black pepper then serve.
