Miss Miss (Auckland CBD, New Zealand)
Bubble Tea shops are everywhere, it’s just like mushrooms, it just sprouts into action without you noticing them. Take this place for example, we pass by this street once in a while then all of a sudden there was Miss Miss, I am not sure if I just did not see them before, but this was the first time I saw this place.
It was the perfect timing because we just ordered some bacon cheese jeon from No 1 Pancakes, we are looking for something to drink and it happens as we walk and letting our jeon cool down Miss Miss was quietly waiting for us in the corner.
We did not think twice whether to grab it here since the attendant was quite inviting, calling us to try their bubble tea. What’s even better is that they have a large menu at their storefront, and we saw this Citron tea with Jelly and Lemon (NZ$6.00), that was the perfect drink to the oily and very savoury pancakes we are having.
Citron tea with Jelly and Lemon lived by its name, its citrusy, tangy, not too sweet, a perfect palate cleanser to any greasy fast food. I was quite refreshing specially for a summer day, it was not heavy to drink as well as instead of Boba, jelly was used. As we enjoy this and our jeon, we quietly sat inside and their place was well designed for social media photo sharing, it’s so Asian, with lots of pink flowers on the ceiling and comfy seats with matching large plush stuff toys for any customer to cuddle.
It was a good first try, will definitely give their other offering a shot but that will be for some other day.
