Inun-unan – This dish can go a long way, just make it too sour then fill up with rice.
Chicken Liver and Gizzard Adobo – You can enjoy adobo on the cheap as well, just don’t use pork or chicken, their offal will do good as well.
Ginataang Gulay – This perhaps can go a long way, just make it spicy or saucy. Dishes like Laing, Porbidang Kangkong, Ginataang Talong, Ginataang Puso ng Saging, Ginataang Labong and Ginataang Langka falls in this category.
Nilagang Okra at Inihaw na Talong – The most basic dish of all, all you need is a fish bagoong dip with calamansi of course.
Gisadong Munggo – Another classic, goes well with plenty of rice and fried galunggong.
Suam na Mais – Another hunger buster, using corn, spinach, malunngay or dahon ng sili with a bit of chicken.
Ginisang Gulay – Like the ginataang gulay just make it saucy, it is nutritious too, all you need is garlic and onions plus your vegetable of choice. You can add a small amount of meat too. Recipes fall into this category are Gisadong Sayote, Ginisang Bunga ng Malunggay, Guisadong Upo, Guisadong Ampalaya, Guisadong Upo at Sardinas, Ginisang Okra at Dilis and Ginisang Ampalaya at Itlog.
Kilawing Puso ng Saging – This will be good if you have banana tree in your backyard, stop dreaming of using that in Kare Kare as beef is expensive, so stew that banana bud in vinegar.
Poqui Poqui – Another eggplant dish with egg, but this one is done differently, a bit mushy but it’s all good.
Kangkong with Bagoong – The last on the list, definitely it won’t be complete without this. Just boil some Kangkong and serve with bagoong, at least it’s not just bagoong.
