I am doing a lot of copycat recipes from the Philippine restaurants, I guess you know why? If not let me explain, just imagine me living in New Zealand for quite some time now, my only view of what’s happening in the Philippines is when I open Instagram or Facebook and once that happens all I see are these wonderful foods that you can buy back home? I am a bit helpless, a bit sad as I cannot just go out and drive to one of them so I try to copy them using my best effort. I made several copies already like the Bonchon Chicken, Kanin Club’s Vegetarian Delight, Jollibee’s Garlic Pepper Beef and Yellow Cab’s Charlie Chan Pasta to name some, today I am making something that is good to share with friends over an ice-cold beer, the Macho Sisig Nachos.
Macho Sisig Nachos is a dish sold at Dencios restaurant where traditional Nacho chips are topped with tomato salsa, Dencio’s Krispy Sisig and cheese sauce. This perhaps is one of the best pulutan you will ever encounter specially if you love both Sisig and Nachos, with a mild kick from the chillies, fresh tomatoes and creamy cheese plus the different array of textures this is like a Brazilian Carnival in your mouth!
I am not sure if someone invented this before Dencios but whoever created this is a genius, that person created the perfect bar food for the Filipinos. It’s quite simple as well especially when you already have some sisig readily available to you, either you buy then at your favourite carinderia, on a can or prepare it yourself the only thing left to wrap it all up is some nacho chips, tomatoes and cheese sauce. So, what are you waiting for? Make this one at home.
Nachos are SO good! And this is such a neat twist on them. Thanks!
