Description
Sardines and Upo Misua is a simple soup dish of canned sardines sautéed with garlic and onions then cooked with bottle gourd and flour vermicelli
Ingredients

- 125g misua noodles
- 400 g canned sardines in tomato sauce (this is the large can)
- 1/2 small bottle gourd (upo), peeled and sliced
- 1 small red onion, sliced
- 6 cloves garlic minced
- 4 cups water
- oil
- fish sauce
- salt
Instructions
- In a soup pot add oil then sauté garlic and onions
- Add the sardines with the sauce then cook for a couple of minutes.
- Pour the water and add the bottle gourd, bring to a boil then simmer in low heat for 8 minutes
- Add the misua and continue to simmer for 2 minutes.
- Season with fish sauce and freshly ground black pepper turn off heat then serve.
