Butter Garlic Prawns is dish of large prawns cooked with shell and head on in butter and tons of garlic, finished with a squeeze of lemon
Such a simple combination but very tasty results, if you a looking for a dish with a high effort to result ratio then look no further, this is it! A simple concoction of prawns cooked in butter and garlic, once you tried it, you’ll never look back, even the shells are tasty you will keep sucking on then until it becomes tasteless.
Recently there were tons of imported humongous Argentinian Prawns and it is quite obvious because before that the large prawns are only sold on specialty seafood shops, not its widely available in most supermarkets like Pak n’ Save and Asian grocers, what even better its price is very reasonable, NZ$24.00 for a kilogram, that’s a steal specially for a hand sized prawn.
I grabbed some during our last visit, luckily, I was early so I get to pick and choose the largest of the bunch and the dish below is a result of that.
