Rasni Warung (Bali, Indonesia)

Cheap and below average but amazing views, great service and it was so cheap. I guess this is a first time I will be posting a below average review but there is not much of a choice when we visited Padang Padang Beach during our vacation in Bali, so if you don’t have any food with you then you are stuck buying it here. While it’s not as bad as you think, the food here was no frills, nothing fancy just honest dish that will pass you through that hungry moment, a tummy filler, satisfying your hunger but not the flavour.

Nasi Goreng and Mie Goreng was just lacking flavour, I was expecting at least IndoMie but they never used that like how street hawkers do it in Malaysia, I think it’s just noodles with some soy sauce. It was just enough to fill my tummy, but can’t complain more because each item was really cheap, can’t remember the exact price but it would be around US$1.00.

Then we also grabbed some Chicken Sate which was better than the first two orders, this one at least have flavour except for the rice cake that accompanied it, which also had a funny texture.

What was good though was the Grilled Corn (Jagung), corn was definitely fresh and sweet. We ordered several of this so our hunger could be satisfied, and it did, luckily you don’t need to add fancy sauces or flavour to make corn good, its just good on its own specially when its fresh.

We finished off with some Ice Cream to cleanse all our palate. We stayed for a while to use their chairs under their large umbrella, in the searing hot sun looking at the nice scenery. While food was not that great, we got served with a smile and yes, the views are the ones that can’t be replaced even with a fancy restaurant.
