Koko Ayam (Bali, Indonesia)
After grabbing some donuts at JCo in Discovery Mall we saw this place beside it called Koko Ayam and it was filled with people, we quite got intrigued and instead of dining in to where we supposed to we gave this place a shot. It is a Taiwanese style fast food and Taiwan is one on our bucket list of places we want to travel, I heard that the food scene there is amazing so let’s see if this place will live up to its theme.
The offerings on their menu was quite simple, noodles and chicken plus some drinks, all the dishes look familiar as I tried them on other places but not Taiwan, I even made some of it at home.
Their most popular item on the menu is their Paket A (IDR 50000) Koko Ayam Rice, basically Taiwanese Style Fried Chicken Bites that is similar taste to the Ji Pai. This one lived to its promise, it was crispy, juicy, tasty and everything nice, plus the serving is quite big, there is definitely a lot of chicken in there.
Next Up was this Paket B (IDR 85000) Taiwanese Beef Noodle which I find underwhelming, while the beef was tasty it was quite dry, the also soup lacks flavour. I made something similar before and it was nowhere near that, not to brag about it but I am just telling it based on experience, trust me I am picky with my noodles.
All combo meals are served with Iced Tea, a nice drink specially in a hot and humid place like Bali. Overall is OK, chicken was definitely good, no doubt about it, the only let down was the noodles. It was a busy place so if you want to pay this place a visit do it on off times like 3:00 PM otherwise you will have to wait to get seated and be tortured on the smell of the fried chicken as you die of hunger.

In Bali? I would much sooner go for the local Indonesian cuisine, not really into Taiwanese, lots of deep fried stuff.
