Ruby’s Diner (Las Vegas, Nevada)
Before leaving America, I must try even just one burger, it’s one of the most American thing that someone can have, do you agree? During my stay in Vegas I never had a chance to grab some but luckily at the McCarran International Airport I had a chance when I saw this place called Ruby’s Diner.
I had second thoughts when I saw this because I usually don’t go for a full meal before flying in a long-haul flight, I am not comfortable in having my number two’s a small toilet in the air. But since I haven’t had a change to have some burgers I did broke my own rule.
There were some choices but the most attractive to me was the Mushroom Swiss Burger, a burger prepared with fresh sautéed mushrooms, double Swiss cheese, crisp lettuce, tomato and their very own Ruby Sauce. I just grabbed the burger and a drink no fries as I am keeping my tummy light.
Initially I thought the burger would be enormously large (it’s just me stereotyping) and was worried that I may not be able to finish it all but to my surprise it was not and I liked it. I love burgers that are not enormously big, just enough to fill the hunger.
The verdict was great, I love the flavour, the patties were perfectly seasoned and cooked, juicy and tasty, the size was perfect, I also love that extra pickle they give on the side, very American. It’s such a nice way to end my trip, I will definitely try their other offerings when I go back.
