Brisbane River Grill (Brisbane, Australia)
I use Brisbane Airport a lot and I had tried most of the restaurants in the departure lounge except for one, the Brisbane River Grill. Before every time I see this, I was never enticed as it looks like a normal pub, not in a negative way but it’s just me, pubs are the last resort for me if I am hungry. This time it’s quite different because they were airing a rugby match that I wanted to watch so here I am chilling out in this place.
Like I said it’s not my first choice for food so I only ordered some nibbles and most importantly beer, luckily, they have one of my favourite brands, the Sapporo.
For the bites I grabbed the Salt and Pepper Calamari served with Chilli and Lime (AU$17.00), I also grabbed two types of fries, one Potato Fries served with House Aioli (AU$7.00) and the other one was this Sweet Potato Fries served with House Chipotle Aioli (AU$7.00). Like any deep-fried bar food, it can’t go wrong, it’s just so perfect with any ice-cold beer, like the Sapporo
I stayed there for a while as I have to finish the game and I checked in quite early so I got more than 2 hours to spare during which I downed 3 pints just in time before my flight. What I want here is they they serve their beers on the right temperature and the bites were good, definitely a nice place to chill while having a beer and watching some sports on the telly.
