P’Nut Noodle Bar (Brisbane, Australia)

Sometimes it’s not the food that attracts you to a restaurant, sometimes its what’s in the place that bring you in. Take this place as an example, the catchy Thai style street signs that are comedic like “Cabbages and Condoms”, “Massage” and “Love Shack” makes it an interesting place to dine in. True to its form this place offers different variety of South East Asian and East Asian noodles, I love that concept, where noodles from these regions are showcased.

During our first try we grabbed two noodles, first was this Pad Thai Chicken (AU$14.95), spicy rice noodles in a sweet, sour, hot, savoury sauce cooked with chicken and vegetables.

Next one on the menu was the Chinese Noodles Seafood (AU$ 16.95), Yellow Noodles stir fried in soy sauce cooked with mixed seafood and vegetables.

Both dishes came out really quick, like most Asians prepare them. Cooked over a hot wok over a volcano stove top, makes sure that everything is flash stir fried and cooked as fresh as it can. While it’s not really exquisite in taste, their noodles deliver what’s necessary, tasty and quick, a nice place to be when you are in a hurry to have a nice freshly cooked lunch.

Will I be going back here, well yes specially if I am craving for some noodles, this is the best noodle house that offers quick lunches on South Bank.
