Turmeric Fried Fish
Fried fish is fried fish, whatever you do with it, but there are fried fish recipes out there that adds more flavour to it. Some examples are the ones with chillies, some with coriander, some with curry powder and our recipe today where itis infused with turmeric. This recipe does not just impart flavour and colour but with some health benefits which turmeric is known for like anti-inflammatory, prevents Alzheimer’s disease and cancer, it boosts the immune system and lowers cholesterol.
It’s an easy recipe so if you know how to fry fish your just one step away, just add turmeric.
- 10 - 12 pcs gutted fish like mackerel or gurnard, scored
- 1 tbsp turmeric
- freshly ground black pepper
- Season fish with salt, pepper and turmeric. Set aside for 10 minutes.
- Prepare a wok, add oil for deep frying. Once it hits 180C deep fry fish until its fully cooked and crispy. Serve.
