Bacon, Tomato and Mozarella Crostini

Are you looking for the perfect starter well look no further, this is it! Like the name suggests this is a type of crostini topped with melted mozzarella, bacon and tomatoes, a great way to start a meal specially if you have pasta for mains. Nearly tastes like pizza but with a really crunchy base, so if you like pizza flavours then this appetizer is for you.

Bacon, Tomato and Mozarella Crostini

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 pcs thinly sliced baguettes, lightly toasted
  • 6 pcs streaky bacon, fried and crumbed
  • 2 cups grated mozzarella
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan
  • 12 slices large tomato (like Big Beef)
  • dried basil
  • salt
  • freshly ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Place toasted baguette slices on a baking tray.
  2. Top each toasted baguette with a slice of tomato, bacon, pinch of dried basil, around 2 1/2 tbsp of mozzarella, 2 tsp of Parmesan then season with salt and freshly ground black pepper.
  3. Place in a 180C preheated oven then toast until cheese has melted, remove from oven then serve warm.
