Little Singapore Restaurant (Brisbane, Australia)
If you are in Brisbane and craving or some laksa this joint might be your best bet, Little Singapore Restaurant. Laksa is one of my favourite dishes and trust me I had many laksa’s in my life and most of it is in Singapore as well as in Malaysia and the one they serve at this place is similar if not better that those.
Tucked hidden inside one of the buildings in Albert St in Brisbane’s CBD, this place is quite hard to find because it’s not on a street but on a hallway or alley inside a building. It is in the place where Vapiano and Harajuku Gyoza is and that’s where I discovered this place when one time I dined on at Harajuku Gyoza, I told myself this is the place I want to try next time.
And I never regretted it even though it was a long walk from the hotel I usually stay in. Their laksa was amazing, available in Combination, Chicken, BBQ Pork, Crispy Pork and Crispy Wonton, it was a hard decision but since I am a seafood lover it would have to be the Signature Laksa Combination (AU$13.90) but that Crispy Pork looks really interesting, maybe next time.
It was one loaded laksa, large prawns, New Zealand mussels, fish cakes, squid and vegetables, it’s a one large bowl of goodness, definitely delicious and very filling, I really liked it.
And to wash all of that the best way to do this is with a Grass Jelly Milk Tea (AU$4.20) and this brings back a lot of memory to me, grass jelly or cincau is one of my favourite drinks when I used to live in Malaysia.
Like I mentioned I will be back, that Crispy Pork laksa calls me on my dreams, I will be restless until I give that a shot.
