Kualoa Ranch and Zipline (Kaneohe, Hawaii)

I had never been to this part of O’ahu so I never expect what to see in this part of the island, at first, I thought this place just contain secluded beaches away from the bulk of tourists in Honolulu, that was true but it offers more than that.

As we drove to the place called Kualoa Ranch we were welcomed by amazing view of staggering mountains on the side which heavily reminded me of Jurassic World. Kualoa Ranch is located in the North-Eastern end of the O’ahu and it is where most movies set on a Hawaiian Island was filmed.

When you visit Kualoa Ranch there are many activities to choose from, what we got during that time was the Jurassic Jungle Expedition Tour where we got toured around the place and drive though a 4×4 and visit different points of interest on the Hakipu`u valley. Starting from the assembly area near the gates up to the top of the mountains, it is a sight to see specially on the top where it overlooks Oahu’s eastern coastline.

Some of the movie sets that you can see are the ones from the 50 First Dates

Jurassic World, complete with the dinosaur marks that tricked the humans in the film.

Even to the new ones like Kong: Skull Island.

Its informative, interesting and definitely a nice sight to see. It was quite bumpy as well specially going downhill when the driver tries to give more excitement to the passengers.

Our tour lasted an hour and a half then after that we started our team building activities followed by a drinking spree with build your own burgers and hotdogs for dinner. It was a fun day, was quite tried after all that bumpy ride but with an ice-cold beer on my hand plus a burger that I made my own, this is what you call life’s simple pleasures.
