Airline Food – Hong Kong Airlines
During the days when I visit Hong Kong my preferred airline of choice from the Philippines was Cathay Pacific because during those days, late 90s and early 2000s their planes was the first one to have entertainment units, many years later it was a standard. This time around I am visiting Hong Kong again, not for work but just a holiday, the airline of choice Hong Kong Airlines.
This was the first time I used their planes and yes, we did have good inflight service. There was a good meal selection from pasta, noodles, stews even dumplings, food was OK, it will be above average like Cathay Pacific.
On the flight, we had we had the following selections:
- Beef Stew, Mashed Potatoes, Buttered Vegetables, Brownie and Chicken Salad
- Creamy Chicken Pasta, Fruits, Kiwifruit Shortbread
- Creamy Fettuccine, Buttered Vegetables, Macaroni Salad, Cream Puffs
- Chicken, Bok Choy, Rice, Macaroni Salad, Cream Puffs
- Noodles, Dumplings, Croissant, Fruits
all served with dinner rolls, butter and a selection of drinks. Like I said food was OK, quantities are ample and they were definitely tasty and it satisfied my Asian palate. If there is only one thing to complain on is that the interior of the plane, the majority of the fabric colours used were red and on a long flight this was quite tiring to look at, it will also make you hungry easily, luckily, they serve ample amounts so no one hopefully will be left hungry on a Hong Kong airline flight.
