Description
Stir-fried cauliflower with tomato sauce is a simple dish of cauliflower stir fried with tomatoes and garlic, a really nice side dish with a really good flavour.
Ingredients
- 1 head cauliflower, cut into florets
- 2 pcs roma tomato, chopped
- 3 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp chopped parsley, plus more to garnish
- 4 cloves garlic, sliced
- salt
- freshly ground black pepper
- oil
Instructions
- Prepare a pot with boiling water then blanch cauliflower for 2 minutes. Drain cauliflower then rinse in running cold water to stop it from cooking, set aside.
- Prepare a wok add oil then saute garlic, once its light brown and fragrant add the chopped tomatoes and stir fry until it turns soft and easily mashed, add the tomato paste and chopped parsley then continue to cook for a minute.
- Add the cauliflower then stir fry for 5 minutes adding a bit of water just to give it some moisture, add the honey as well then season it with salt and freshly ground black pepper.
- Remove from wok then serve garnished with chopped parsley on top.
I am not fond of the cauliflower here, imported…from China, I think…bland, no taste and no fragrance – too old, not fresh, I guess.
Oh this is a nice way to kick up the taste of cauliflower. Not my fave veggie but I do eat it, this would beagood way for me.
