Sometimes odd combinations work really well like this Pear, Honey and Blue Cheese Crostini. Just by imagining these mixture sounds odd but if you try them its surprisingly good. The sweet and salty elements combine well together. Having said that the taste is not just the selling point of this dish, the texture as well, the silky smooth blue cheese with the pears, honey and crunchy bread crust is just a pleasure to your senses.

This crostini is quite easy to make and you can serve it as an appetizer or as a side dish with a light pasta.

Description

Sometimes odd combinations work really well like this Pear, Honey and Blue Cheese Crostini. Just by imagining these mixture sounds odd but if you try them its surprisingly good.


Ingredients

  • baguette, sliced
  • pears, sliced
  • blue cheese
  • honey

Instructions

  1. Place baguettes in a baking paper line baking tray.
  2. Top each baguette with 3 sliced of pears then with sliced of blue cheese.
  3. Place in a preheated 200C oven then bake until cheese melts and the edges are golden brown.
  4. Remove from oven, drizzle some honey on top then serve.
