This simple Salmon Fin Soup is just made out of salmon fins, tomatoes, basil and onions but it packs a lot of taste and its so delicious, perfect for any cold day



  • 800 g salmon fins
  • 3 large plump red tomatoes
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • bunch of basil leaves
  • fish sauce
  • ground white pepper
  • 3 cups water
  • freshly ground black pepper


  1. In a pot add water, onion and tomatoes. Bring to a boil and simmer for 5 minutes.
  2. Add salmon fins bring it back to a boil then simmer for 5-7 minutes or until salmon is just cooked.
  3. Turn heat off then add basil leaves, season with fish sauce and white pepper.
  4. Serve while hot.
