Description
Heart Shaped Cookies frosted with pink butter icing with heart candy sprinkles, a perfect simple Valentines treat for your loved one.
Ingredients
Cookies
- 200g butter, room temperature
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 cup sifted flour
Frosting
- 200g butter, room temperature
- 3/4 cup icing sugar
- red food colour
- candy sprinkles
Instructions
- Mix all cookie ingredients together.
- Place dough in a baking pan then flatten it by hand.
- Place in freezer for 20 minutes or if you have extra time place it in the fridge for 1 hour.
- Remove baking pan from the fridge then using a heart shape cookie cutter, cut them into individual shapes.
- Bake in a 180C preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown. Once cooked remove from oven and keep it cool.
- Place butter in a mixing bowl then using a hand mixer mix until butter is creamy, add icing sugar 1 tablespoon at a time together with drops of red food colour.
- Spread butter icing on top of cookies then sprinkle heart shaped candy sprinkles on top.
- Enjoy it with your loved one.
