- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1 1/2 tbsp white sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt, or more to taste
- 1 1/4 cups milk
- 3 tbsp butter, melted
- 1 egg
- few drops of vanilla extract
Instructions
- In a large bowl, sift together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, white sugar, and salt. Create a well in the center of the dry ingredients.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, melted butter, egg and vanilla until well combined.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the well of the dry ingredients. Gently stir until the batter is smooth and free of lumps. Be careful not to overmix.
- Heat a lightly oiled griddle or non-stick pan over medium-high heat until hot and ready for cooking.
- Pour or scoop approximately 1/4 cup of batter onto the preheated griddle for each pancake. Allow the pancakes to cook until bubbles form on the surface and the edges appear dry, about 2 to 3 minutes.
- Using a spatula, carefully flip the pancakes and cook on the other side until golden brown and cooked through.
