Avocado Ice Candy

I guess it is now appropriate for us to make another one and for today we will be making some avocado ice candy. I know for most a sweet avocado is a weird idea but not for South East Asians where we enjoy this on our desserts from desserts, drinks and ice cream flavours.

A while back I posted an ice candy recipe and that was back when it was mid-winter here (it’s just a fix for our craving), now it’s getting warmer I guess it is now appropriate for us to make another one and for today we will be making some avocado flavoured ice candy. I know for most a sweet avocado is a weird idea but not for South East Asians where we enjoy this on our desserts from desserts, drinks and ice cream flavours. So if you want to entertain this idea try this recipe out and if you don’t have the special ice candy bags you can use your Popsicle moulds for this.

Description

I guess it is now appropriate for us to make another one and for today we will be making some avocado ice candy. I know for most a sweet avocado is a weird idea but not for South East Asians where we enjoy this on our desserts from desserts, drinks and ice cream flavours.

Ingredients

Scale
    • 2 large avocadoes

Instructions

  1. In a blender place evaporated milk, condensed milk, sugar, water and avocadoes then blend until mixed together.
  2. Using a funnel pour the blended mixture into the ice candy plastic bags. Tie tightly and do with the remaining mixture.
  3. Freeze then serve.

Notes

This should be so sweet and it’s meant that way, the freezing process will lessen the sweetness.

Avocado desserts are so good – I’ve never tried the ice candy (I usually make my fav corn and cheese) but I’ll definitely make a batch of these next time I make ice candy.

One of my patients make these and sent an entire gallon bag home with me one day. My son LOVES them and my Vietnamese husband was just as happy with the treats. They are fantstic!

  12. its crazy that its a weird idea for avocados as a sweet treat, but in the Philippines its the opposite. Avocado was always a sweet treat and I was surprise when I keep seeing it on sandwiches and as guacamole. Sweet or not I love avocados.
