Cheeseburger Pizza

What’s better than having your favourite fast-food items cooked at home the way you like it? Well it is combining two of your favourite fast-food items cooked at home, that’s why for fourth day of the minced meat week we will be merging two favourite fast food dishes in one, the pizza and cheeseburger. I guess this is a no brainer as everyone would love either of the two so let’s go to the recipe.

Ingredients (Pizza Sauce)

1/4 cup catsup
1/4 cup tomato puree
1 clove garlic, minced
8 pcs basil leaves, chopped
1/2 tsp dried oregano
salt
freshly ground black pepper

Ingredients (Toppings)

ground beef
processed sliced cheese (the same thing they use in burgers), sliced into smaller pieces
mozzarella
parmesan
salt
freshly ground black pepper

Ingredients (Others)

olive oil

Ingredients (Dough)

I used the dough from my Margherita Pizza so please refer here

Method

  1. In a bowl mix together all Pizza Sauce ingredients.
  2. Prepare the dough then spread 1-2 tbsp of olive oil on top.
  3. Prepare your mini meat balls by seasoning ground beef with salt and pepper and shaping them into small balls.
  4. Spread the pizza sauce, top with mini meatballs, mozzarella, sliced cheese and parmesan. Let it rest for 15 minutes.
  5. Place in a preheated oven at 230C and cook for 20 to 25 minutes.

Nope, nothing better than this. Sounds incredible! I worked at CPK years ago and they had a cheeseburger pizza (not sure if they still have it), but yours looks 10x better. Not surprised about that though. 🙂
