Ensaladang Mangga is a simple concoction of semi ripe mangoes, tomatoes and white onions using sauteed bagoong as a dressing. The taste is an explosion of strong sour, salty and sweet flavours. A Filipino favourite which really goes well with grilled meats and seafood, a usual fare that is always present on picnic baskets that’s why when I have this dish I remember my childhood beach outings with family or friends where lunch is always happen in a tropical hut style setting where food is served in banana leaves and you use your hands to eat various grilled meats and seafood together with this very delicious Filipino Salad/Appetizer.

  • 3 large green mangoes, cubed
  • 3 large tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 large white onion, chopped
  • 3 tbsp sautéed bagoong

  1. In a big mixing bowl toss all ingredients together, once evenly mixed, chill then serve.
