Non Stop Mlekomat (Ljubljana, Slovenia)
I remember I saw this in You Tube before and I thought we already missed them when we visited Zagreb, when we were there I asked the lady in one of the convenience store where can I find this milk machine, she said they close just before lunch so I just missed them. I was quite saddened when I heard that as I want to give it a go but lo and behold we saw one accidentally in Ljubljana when we were strolling in their old town.
I love Ljubljana’s old town, its clean and not a lot of tourists, not that I don’t like tourists (I am one) but it’s just becoming busy to the eyes when you see lots of people walking in all sorts of direction. I guess I just got used to the population density in New Zealand so when we see tons of people in one place it feels so stressful.
It was a lovely day starting from parking our car beside the University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Law, there were lots of spaces we don’t have to stress out finding one. From here we walked to the Dragon Bridge
then towards the Butchers Bridge (Mesarski Most) where love locks are starting. We never contributed our locks after our lock in that Paris Bridge was taken out last year. I think it will happen to this sometime in the far future, locks are heavy and it will give strain to the bridge.
From here we walked to Cankarjevo Nabrežje where most of the al fresco restaurants are located
From here we started to head back to the town square so we crossed the bridge and have a quick view what’s inside the Ljubljana Cathedral
then after this visit and a short stroll to the just closed market
I saw this machine that I was looking for in Zagreb. I was very happy and so is my daughter who was looking for it was well.
She loves milk, I think she drinks more milk than water so I bet she was even more excited than me.
Luckily we have coins to spare and this was quite affordable, at €1.00 a litre what more can you ask for. Beside the milk machine is a bottle machine where you can buy one, but if you have your own container you can free to use them.
So we placed our bottles in the machine and it started extracting milk. After it filled up we grabbed them immediately and gave a good gulp, it was cold and tasted really good perfect for the hot noontime sun.
